- Black space, a planet - a planet covered by one city. Many songs have been written about its beauty. That was long ago. Long forgotten songs. Now it was marked. scarred. Big holes, craters, in its intriquate design. Reason? noone could remember the reason why they fought. Only that they had to. Centuries of war had erased all memorie of how they used to live, how they once wer brothers and sisters. Noone dreamt it would end this way. - Perhaps the last dove on the once beautifull planet, only a black siluhett visible for an instant as the ground below it is engulfed in light. Big explosion. - Days? Weeks? Time doesnt have a meaning anymore. But the fires have died down and the blod is no longer wet. The smell of the dead is long gone. a young boy is sitting on the ground, behind some rubble, hiding. - A gang of armed raiders/rebells walk by not far away with a net sack with a young screaming girl caught in it. - Some of the rebells are wearing parts of human remains/bones. Skulls, jawbones, teeth/ear-necklaces and so on. - A hand from behind, covers the kids mouth. an old weathered hand. It pulls the kid away behind the rocks. - Its an old man, with a weathered rough face. He gives the boy some dried meat and the boy follows him. - They get to big fort, with a wooden surrounding wall. a couple of heads peak out above the top of the wall. they seem nervous, but wave welcoming when they recognize the old man. - Its not big, but crowded. A few quickly put together boxy small buildings. Some kind of energy generator in the middle, and all over, full of people. Old, young, men and woman. Animals. All in one miserable desperate state. Most of them have bandages on somewhere. A couple are in stretchers. - Up in one of the "outpost" on the wall. One of the "scouts" sees a couple of shapes sneaking, approaching. hits the bell to alert the others. - seen from outside, the attackers and the fort exchange fire, bolts of green, red, yellow, almost all colours of the rainbow fly back and forth. - The old man grabbing the kid, running for the tunnelsystem, their last way out. Some of the others send their young ones with him. Theres always a chanse for them to survive with him. - They come out behind a tall building, with huge holes, and giant piles of rubble. They climb up and get an elevated view of the surrounding. In the distance, they see the fort, and it only confirmes what the the bitter stench in the air bode. Flames. - He turns around and leads them away. - The rebells are leaving the fort. carrying similar clad human bodies and nets with woman and children with them. - The old man and the children reach one of the older craters, scars that time will take long, if ever, to heal. theres what you could call an oasis down in the middle of the crater. Their new home. - Years pass, they grow up. The man gets older. somehow they manage to survive there unnoticed, unseen. They live on what they can grow. Somehow, the dirt is living, gives life to food faster than any other earth. Perhaps an effect caused by the crater. perhaps. - Ever since they found their new home. The man started to train them. For what they all wondered in the beginning. Soon it became clear. These rebells couldnt be let to roam freely. Someone had to stop them. If anything, they had a reason. Everyone lost somone dear that day, so many years ago. Who said time heals all wounds. - The man finally left his physical life behind. They burried him in the middle of the oasis. His last words asking for the bitter blood of the rebells. - Everyone knew what would come next. The once young boy, saved by that man, was their leader now. He had been his prodigy. Like he was born to this life. This was only the beginning.
